It has also helped me alleviate stress. I loved this workout. It has been a few weeks and I am looking leaner and more toned. The video is set up for complete ease of the viewer. It gives the viewer options from beginners yoga to intermediate.
These DVDs are excellent; it is definitely for intermediate/advanced level. The Matrix (making your own routine) works on my lap top but did not work on my regular DVD. Best Yoga DVD I have had.
Very balanced yoga sequals. Would recomend it. Setting is beatiful. Pace is perfect, it is not exactly for beginners. I would recomend some yoga experience before hand. You can customize your own workout and the length of the yoga sequences you want.Gets you going.
Yoga ShaktiIf you can only buy one yoga disc, this is it. I looked at it once or twice. I think there are few people who can truly master all the poses on this disc, so there is always what to work toward.
The first disc is made up of classic, challenging yoga routines--and 4 choices of routines (beginner, 2 intermediate, and lunar) plus the yoga matrix, so that you can design your own workout. Don't miss this disc because it costs a little more. It is the best all-around disc set on the market.
No one is better as a all around teacher than Shiva Rea, and this is her at her classic best. The commentary is interesting, both technical and metaphorical. You won't out-grow this disc too fast, as she gives up to four levels in a pose.
Disc two has some interviews, pose commentary, and other bits. It's a nice extra.
Great yoga DVD but definitely not for the very beginner. The practices are challenging but the yoga matrix is really good for slowly increasing the challenge and also adapting the yoga practice to the amount of time you have on that day.
